The SWEET Institute (Supporting Wellbeing through Empowerment, Education, and Training) exists to ensure that you have the support and resources you need to also care for yourself and the tools you require to care for your patients and clients.
In the midst of performing a needs assessment, we have heard countless social workers and other healthcare providers speak of burnout, lack of consistent supervision and absence of coaching. How can one expect you to take care of your patients and clients when you lack support? How can we restore and nurture your intrinsic motivation to care for others by providing a more supportive community for you?
The SWEET Institute has taken on this cause, and it has started a movement – one that envisions a world in which you have a supportive community and the professional resources you need to thrive. It achieves that by providing exceptional continuing education, supervision, case consultation, mentoring and coaching, regular peer gatherings and opportunities for self-care, in an environment where learning, mutual support, and growing together are highly valued. All sessions are facilitated by Mardoche Sidor, MD, Quadruple Board Certified Psychiatrist, and Karen Dubin-McKnight, LCSW, PhD. Instead of hearing what you could simply read on your own, all sessions focus on critical thinking, soft skills, a posteriori knowledge and your career satisfaction will be significantly enhanced.
